Engagement Pictures Take 1

Walter's sisters, Annie and Michelle, took some pictures of us when we 4 went to walk around the Draper Temple Sunday evening. We weren't really planning on taking engagement pictures, but that is what we kinda ended up doing. We actually like a couple of them, but we are still going to take more next Sunday when we can plan it a little better and wear different clothes. BUT I still wanted to put these pictures up for a vote and see what everyone thinks. So here they are:

Whos Walter (part 2)...

Walter is now my amazing fiance!

He proposed to me on June 26th at
a beautiful spot near Ensign Peak overlooking the Salt Lake Valley at sunset. We pulled off on the side of the road because the view was goregous and Walter wanted to take a picture of us with the valley in the background. We took the picture, then Walter looked to see if it was ok. I asked to see the picture too, and finally he turned the camera around while asking "So, what do you think?" And the picture
was a sign that read, "Kristen, will you marry me!!" Then he did the whole getting down on one knee thing and put the gorgeous
ring on my finger. It was very sweet and cute, and basically I loved it!! It was one of the most special and amazing moments of my life...so far.
So we have been engaged for a little over a month now, and I'm just now blogging about it. Sorry. But I think most anyone who ever reads my blog already knows about the engagement, so I'm sure no one is too hurt.

We decided to get married on December 23rd at the Salt Lake Temple.
- Yes, we know its going to be cold and everyone
is going to freeze taking pictures outside after the wedding (sorry family).
- Yes, we realize that it is very possible the weather will be bad.
- Yes, we also know that the 23rd is Joseph Smith's birthday.
- Yes, it is two days before Christmas.
- Yes, I do know that two of my sister's (sorry Courtney and Lindsey) were also married on that day.

BUT...With both of us going to school and working, and having family all over the country who have to come in for the wonderful occasion, and with August being too soon but April too far away, we decided that December 23rd is the day that works out the best.

The Commons...

I'm in a dinner group with 7 other people in my ward. We take turns cooking dinner 3 days a week. Tonight was the best dinner group night EVER! Our good friend David Garcia surprised us by treating us at a little place on campus called The Commons (the new Cannon Center to all of you Cougars and ex-Cougars) the freshman dining hall. Sooo...Hannah, David, Phil, and I took a little trip to the Freshman side of campus. It was awesome! I can't believe how nice it was and how many options of food they have there. It makes me sad for all of my friends at BYU-Hawaii who have to suffer eating at the Cafe.

Spring in February!!

In my last blog I forgot to mention that while Kiara and I were at Temple Square on February 27th we spotted the first real (not planted) flowers of the year. They were little tiny purple things that you can barely see in the picture, but I was so excited (as you can see by the crazy look on my face) that I just had to take a picture with them. Kiara thought I was crazy...she's probably right!
